Ray's Thought for the Day - All Righty Then

What's wrong with the Yorenited States governments? Well, I can tell you what's wrong with the state and federal agencies in these parts that supposedly have oversight of our natural resources because I have first hand experience. First, there has been a steady decline in funding over the last 20 years, especially that component of the funding that goes towards the government worker's compensation, no rasies and fewer and fewer paid full-time positions. Second, all the managerial positions are filled with republicans whose agenda is less government which is a remarkably good deal for them because they have jobs where the goal for their jobs is to do less work. This leaves plenty of time for golf.

People still working for the resource agencies that want to do their jobs, can't, because they don't have adequate funding and their bosses won't let them because dealing with the aggravation of employees wanting to do their jobs would interfere with, golf.

Below is the informal questionaire designed to screen potential candidates for employment in the republican administered resource agencies.

1) Do you play golf?

2) Do you belong to a country club?

3) Do you ask Jesus to help you with your golf game?

4) Do you thank the Lord when you make a good shot?

5) What's more important, camraderie at the golf course, or endangered species?

Though I have no recent personal experience with other kinds of agencies; health, human services, education, I find, in talking with workers employed in those areas, that they also enjoy much the same emphasis on golf, under their republican managers.
