Today most of the CB turned out fer the raptor rehabilitator show that was put on nearby. Some rehabilitators brought some of their rehabilitated raptors to the neighborhood. Red made Crumby take some pictures. So naturally we need to share some of those pictures.
First un is a bald eagle that had part of his wing shot off and caint fly now. There is the bald eagle holdin' up his shot away wing as if to say, Whut'd I ever do to ye?
Then this second un is a Bay-winged hawk. They are smart, sociable birds.
This third un is a Great Horned Owl which is of course a very important bird to the CB, fer sure.
There were some other birds too, but Crumby messed up their pictures. These rehabilitators are doin' a great job heppin' to ease the sufferin' of the little wonders and fix up the ones they can.

I met this here lady. She came pickup a male red tailed that got hit by a car out on the road up front. She rehabilitated it for two years and brought it back and it's mate was still here. There is still a mated pair here, but I don't know ifn they are the same two. I have been wondering if mowing is good or bad for them. easier to see and catch critter but less cover for the critter might make um shy from moving about.
I don't know. I do know that our red tails that we used to have here have finally disappeared. Mowed fields are better than no fields.
They gave a real good show. Keith and Kelly are their names.
