Crumby's Telescope Tomfoolery Notes

I was enveloped within the eerie glow of the stygian darkness until 4 AM, first following the antics of the gas giants, Neptune and Uranus. Then I espied Pegasus and studied some of the different parts so I could be certain which way he was headed. I assume Pegasus was headed forwards like a normal flying horse, and not backwards like a trick flying horse. After that I visited with Queen Cassiopeia again and later, gawdy Perseus. Seeing was good by 2 AM. For example, Alpha Triangulum, which is around 4th magnitude I think, was visible to my naked eyes, plus spectacles. The double cluster and Stock 2 are well worth a look see. In fact, Perseus is gawdy.

The telescope of choice was the 133.5mm Lomo. It is mounted upon a German equatorial platform that makes it easier to follow gas giants from one comic venue to another. One thing I have noticed with the Lomo is that double stars can appear to change colors depending on the ep in use. For example, I was espying a wide double with a 40 mm Kellner, and the littler companion looked blue. But when I switched to a 12.5mm ortho, it looked red. Those stars are always changing color on me. What's a feller to do?

The ample bosoms beckoned so off I went to rest my noggin and also, the rest of me by attachment. Espying celestial bodies for hours and hours promulgates interesting, happy dreams. However, I should warn that staring at ants for a long time will give you troubling dreams. I had troubling dreams for years about ant farms, long after the ants left the farms.
