Hope for Ray
Oh my goodness gracious! I just had quite a scare. Silly me. I thought suddenly that we needed to begin a new calendar month tomorrow, but as it turns out, and as I discovered soon after my scary thought, the new month won't begin until the 14th. This calendar month, "I am Cotton for Spit and the CB Tree is Two Species of Aesculus" which shall run until throughout the 14th of the Julian, is ironically named in the sense that we have had 5.1" of precipitation as recorded in the CB rain guage for this month, so far. That is five times as much as we had in the previous five months, altogether. Goodness. But the weather is waxing mighty hot already indeed and yesterday was another new all time record high - 91. We see these record high temperature days more and more and more and more. Goodness. Hope versus the Wicker Man.
So Ray and I talked it over, and we decided that this month, had we not required irony to spell the drought, would have been named "I am a Strange Tiny Beetle Fornicating on a Blossom Month". Then we looked high and lo to espy a blossom that did not have tiny fornicating beetles and lo we found this one. Tradescantia humilis, Maybe.
