Ray's Rainfall Update - Day 347, DY 1

A paltry drizzle descended, wetting the gauge. About .03" collected. Yesterday, out peeped Ogma, fickle sunface. Out came the butterflies. Then, last night, another dry norther whipped in. That's the pattern, lately.

Rainfall total to date: 48.86" + 0.03" = 48.89".

Many are on pins and needles. Shall the CB rainfall total enumerate to a fifty inches? Maybe, maybe not.

That Salvia blooming in the preceeding is from Mexico, or more likely, it is a cutting clone from its Mexican ancestor. Salvias are generally fairly easy to get cutting clones from. Anyway, the part of the east pasture it is situated in is a test. What Mexican shrubbery, facilitated by more heat in these parts, may survive a rare hard freeze plus deer herbivory? That Salvia is a survivor, unlike Barbados cherry, yet like desert yaupon.

I don't remember its name
