Lulu's New Rat
Lulu caught a Sigmodon hispidus today. That's why she was out in the east pasture when I got home from werk. Lulu! Where the heck is Lulu, Crumby?
She may have a rat.
Sure as frost, once I got her in, Lulu ate up her supper, lickety split, then headed back out, lickety split. So I followed her. Sure enough, Lulu has a new rat.
This time, I shall take a picture of Lulu with her new rat. But alas, by the time I got back with the camera, Lulu had buried her new rat. Dang it!
Buried is an overstatement. Actually, especially for a terrier, Lulu is not much of a digger. She only digs little holes for grubs. So all she did was cover up her new rat with Indiangrass straw from the recent mowing event. So, I have no cute picture of my JR, Lulu, with her rat.
I need to remember where that dead rat is, so I won't step in it, barefoot. Because, Lulu kills rats and covers them up, but she does not eat them, ever. Interesting that!
I may have mentioned before that one of Lulu's brothers is a pro ratter.
