Creation Care, Buh!

A while back, watching the TV, even I, Red Ears, learned a phrase new to me, creation care. Creation care, so it seems, is a Christian evangelical term mystically synonymous with environmental protection. The phrase, creation care, probably derives from the good steward passage in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

Druids, like me, consider any phrase used in mystical context to be a spell. Druids reason, the spell, creation care, is a semi-clever spell (propaganda) for the world view of the spell’s casters or inventor(s). But why do the Christian Evangelicals bother over creation care? What is up their robes?

Well, turns out, not all of the Evangelicals are bothered over creation care, only some of them. Plus, the main topic that seems to bother the bothered ones is, yep, global warming. Presumably the global warming topic might also include air quality. Yet, the main topic, global warming may not include air quality. The Druids are not sure about that.

Anyway, the creation care premise is that Christians are supposed to take care of God’s Creation because nature is part of God’s Creation. People are also part of God’s Creation. So because God created people and nature, people and nature are mystical associates. That is why some of the Evangelicals care about Creation Care. Mystical associates, yet there is plenty of scripture that indicates a demarcation between people and nature. No doubt, the Evangelical holdouts on creation care are familiar with those scriptures.

The evangelicals advocating creation care, Druids reason, have come late to the global warming party. Too late, many reason. Too late for three reasons: great damage has been done, great damage is irreversible, great damage shall continue without pause until all the fossil fuel is used up. Yes. That is correct. Humans are on a fast track to use up all the accessible fossil fuel sources as fast as possible. Humans shall use up all those fossil fuels in addition to whatever other cheap energy sources humanity may learn to exploit to the maximum. Yes. Humanity shall require more and more cheap energy alternatives in addition to the fossil fuels.

Shall creation care save us from global warming? No. Liars and gluttons prefer global warming over the alternatives, global temperature stasis or global cooling and a scarcity of plastic bags. Sincere Evangelicals, if such animals exist, are fixing to find out that the liars and gluttons come first. If they have not already found that the liars and gluttons come first. Once they find this out, that liars and gluttons are OK with global warming, the Evangelicals shall lose faith on creation care. But they shall retain faith in a Second Coming. They shall keep the faith, that Jesus, I say Jesus, can stand the heat.

Yet. Many have remarked, It’s hotter than Hell, or Hades. Well!

Those, like the Christian Evangelicals, who seek to mystify reality, are naked cannibals, running and jumping through the woods.
